How to check property ownership details or landowners’ name in Punjab

It is crucial to have complete information about a property’s comprehensive details to buy or sell any property or land. Well, it is very commonly known all over the World that numerous people from Punjab, India, have over the years, chosen to settle abroad whether temporarily or permanently for purposes like education, salaried jobs, business, marriage or other reasons. In Punjab also, most of the land records have been digitised and available online for public convenience.

In Punjab, a property’s details are mentioned in a document called “JAMABANDI” or “FARD”. However, since the digitisation of Land records is very new-fangled in India, it becomes challenging to find complete details online.

Also, the involvement of vernacular language documents, local officials, legal papers, and legal formalities seems very trivial, yet there are technical procedures involved that are cumbersome.
